Southampton Meet Up OOTD

Attending my first bloggers meet was something I was really excited about. Deciding what to wear, however, was a bit more intimidating. I knew I would be at an event with other bloggers whose focus was fashion, so I definitely wanted to make an effort. Putting together outfits has never been my strong point – jeans and a t-shirt tends to be my go-to look – so I took to Pinterest looking for some inspiration. I love Aria from Pretty Little Liars style, something edgy but feminine at the same time, so that’s what I tried to aim for.

I decided on these jeggings from New Look, purely for comfort purposes. I knew it would be a long day, and wanted to be as comfortable as possible. I teamed these with my faithful New Look ankle boots to give me some much needed height.

Sorting out what to wear top-wise was more difficult, so I was glad that Jess was happy to help. She helped me pick out this grey slogan tee from River Island. The slouchy style of this tee is fabulous, providing both style and comfort, and the high neck is slightly different to what I usually choose. To add a little more to the outfit, Jess and I picked out this longline waistcoat, once again from New Look. I love blazers in this style, but I think this was a better choice for the meet-up as it was lighter weight.

The day was gorgeous so I finished the outfit with my everyday bag from Fiorelli, and some sunglasses, and I was good to go. I kept my makeup quite simple, with a bronze eye, liquid liner, and one of my new favourite lip combinations. I used the MAC Pro Longwear Lip Liner in Dynamo, and the Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Colour in Watermelon. This is such a nice bright orange pink lip colour, perfect for summer days. And the lasting power was incredible - I only topped my lipstick up once all day!

I loved this outfit, and I’m sure I’ll wear it plenty of times in the future. I hope you enjoyed seeing what I wore to the Soton Meet-Up.

Until next time,

Lexie
