Walt Disney World 2016 Haul

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll probably know that this April, I went on a family holiday to Walt Disney World. And if there was one thing I was particularly looking forward to when I was out there, it was the shopping. I love a bit of Disney merchandise, so having it all in one place was just the dream. I knew I’d come home with plenty of bits and bobs, and I thought I’d share what I picked up. There's quite a bit, so grab yourself a drink and a snack, and we'll get started.

My first port of call once we’d arrived at our hotel was the little shop to pick up an autograph book and pen. I was determined to meet some characters, so I knew an autograph book was essential, and as I had a character breakfast organised for our first day. I’d seen this one online before I went, so once I saw it, I picked it up straight away. I like this style of autograph, rather than the photo album/autograph books that are quite popular nowadays. I picked up the matching pen, and I was ready to go.

Another essential was a photo album. I like to take plenty of pictures while I’m away on holiday, especially somewhere like Walt Disney World, so I had to get a Disney photo album. I liked this one because it almost matched my autograph book, and the date on the front will help to differentiate the photos from this trip from the photos from other trips.

If you know me at all, you’ll know I love Tinkerbell. A lot. So it was expected that I would pick up plenty of Tinkerbell merchandise. The first Tinkerbell themed item I picked up was this little key ring on our first visit to Magic Kingdom. I’d seen this on my last visit to Walt Disney World back in 2014, but didn’t pick it up, so I thought I would pick it up as I still loved it. As I want to learn to drive (and hopefully get a car) this year, I think this would be a great first car key accessory.

Another Tinkerbell item I had to bring home with me was this phone case. Having recently upgraded my phone, I finally had plenty of choice when it came to cases – if anything I was a little overwhelmed by the range. But once I laid eyes on this Tinkerbell one, I knew I had to get it. I mean it would be rude not to right?

A practical purchase now, this pretty little hand sanitizer case. Working in a hospital, I get through a lot of hand gel, and once I’d seen these in Ellie Steadman’s haul video I knew I had to pick someone up. There were quite a few designs to choose from, but I thought this Minnie Mouse style case was understated enough to be used on a daily basis without shoving Disney in all the patients’ faces. I can see this getting a lot of use.

I’m a lover of hot chocolate, as you might know, so when I saw this cute little set of three flavoured hot chocolates, all from Mickey’s Really Swell Diner. I couldn’t resist bringing these home, but I’ll be saving them for treats, because they’re so tiny. I’ve now tried all three, and they’re all delicious!

My favourite area of Epcot’s World Showcase has always been Japan, and I always head straight to their shop, Mitsukoshi. Last time we visited Walt Disney World, I picked up some incense sticks and fell in love with them, so I had to pick up a few more. I picked up the Fig incense from the range I had previously tried, as well as the Daphne incense sticks, which were from a brand I hadn’t seen last time. I also saw these adorable plates to hold your incense, and had to pick one up, especially once I spotted this gorgeous crane design. I fell in love so much, I had to pick up a plate and some incense for my bestie too.

I’m sure you know by now that I’m a huge lover of stationary, and with my return to university on the horizon, I knew I needed to get some Disney pens. I chose these brightly coloured pens featuring the six classic characters – Mickey, Pluto, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy and Donald. I also spotted these Frozen pens, featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven and Hans. As you can probably tell, my uni pencil case will be the coolest in my class!

One thing I had my heart set on were the sketches I’d seen online. They’re all hand drawn, and are so beautiful, yet simplistic. I’ve got the moving out bug, so I’m all for buying homeware and home décor, and when I saw these I knew they’d be perfect for my flat (when I get one, in the far distant future). In the meantime, they’ll look fab in some cute frames in my bedroom. Obviously I had to have a Tinkerbell print, and when I saw this Stitch sketch, I couldn’t leave it in the store. Stitch reading a book? What more could a Disney obsessed, book lover want?

My big purchases of the trip were two Disney Pandora beads. I love collecting beads, and as soon as I saw that Disney had some exclusive beads, I knew I would need to get one… or two! There were so many to choose from, it took two visits to finalise which beads I wanted. In the end, I picked this stunning little Cinderella’s Castle charm. I thought this would be a great memento of my trip to Magic Kingdom, especially has it has Walt Disney World on the bottom of the bead. For my second choice, I was torn between my two favourite princesses of the moment – Anna and Elsa. Both were beautiful, but I feel like I relate to Anna more, due to her ditzy persona. The dress charms are so pretty; I could have bought them all and just had a princess dress bracelet.

So (finally) that’s everything I bought from Walt Disney World. I knew I’d come back with a lot of merchandise, I’m just glad that I had space in my suitcase to bring it all home.

Love Lexie
