Estée Lauder Pure Colour Love Lipstick

I'll admit, I am an advertiser's dream. Show me a good advert, with a catchy song, or a celebrity I like, and I'll purchase whatever you're selling. And that's what happened with my latest lipstick purchase. While catching up on my YouTube subscriptions, I saw an advert for the new Estée Lauder Pure Colour Love lipsticks, featuring Kendall Jenner and music by Elle King, and I was hooked. And off I trotted to John Lewis to swatch them and pick one for myself.

Within the Pure Colour Love range of lipsticks, there are four different finishes: Ultra Mattes, Shimmer Pearls, Cool Chromes and Edgy Cremes. Within each finish, there is a variety of shades, so there really is something for everyone from Estée Lauder. In total, there's an incredible 30 colours - that's an incredible collection to launch. When I spotted the display at the Estée Lauder counter in my local John Lewis, I headed straight for them.

After much deliberation, and a hand full of swatches later, I chose the Pure Colour Love 130 Strapless. This was one of the Edgy Cremes lipsticks, my favourite finish of lipstick, and it's super comfortable to wear. All the lipsticks are praised for their long-lasting wear, which is always a big plus - especially when you're talking all day, like I am.

I fell in love with Strapless because of the gorgeous nude-toned colour. You can never have too many nudes right? This colour is slightly darker than most nude lipsticks I would reach for, but I'm trying to branch out a little bit at the moment. It'll still go with any number of outfits and makeup looks, and wears nicely over the course of the day. No one wants an awkward fade after all right?

I've fallen in love with this lipstick
These lipsticks retail for £19 each, which I think is really affordable. The packaging is beautiful, and it looks slightly different to all my other lipsticks. I am really impressed with the comfortable wear and the beautiful colour of my new lipstick. I'm sure it'll be a favourite for weeks to come and will get a lot of wear of the coming months. I can already see me going back to John Lewis and picking up a couple more.

Have you tried any of the new Estée Lauder Pure Colour Love lipsticks? What do you think?

Love Lexie
