Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - Mayflower Southampton

Is it really Christmas without seeing the pantomime? I don't think so, and as I missed last year's, I jumped at the opportunity to go to the Mayflower Theatre and watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with the SotonBloggers*. With the Chuckle Brothers and Craig Revel-Horwood starring in the performance, I knew it would be a show I wouldn't want to miss.

Upon arrival, the SotonBloggers girls (Emily, Amy, Jo, Kristy, Abi and Ciara) met in the foyer, excited about the show, before we headed up to our seats. A quick flick through the programme just got us more in the mood for show, and we were all feeling very festive!

The show itself was fab-u-lous, as C.R-H would say! The singing and dancing were both incredible, and the local jokes really tickled me. It just made the show feel a lot more personal, with references to the local area and landmarks. The whole cast were really talented and so entertaining. The seven dwarfs especially!

The Chuckle Brothers and Craig Revel-Horwood were 100% my absolute favourites. As soon as the Chuckle Brothers theme tune started playing, I was transported back to my childhood, watching Chucklevision after school. They were just as funny as I remember, and really added that comedy aspect to the show. Paul and Barry had me smiling from ear to ear.

And then the Strictly music started and Craig Revel-Horwood came out in full panto villain style. He was AH-MAY-ZING! What a character he was! And those legs - they were a surprise! With a selection of Strictly references and some amazing singing thrown in, he was a real asset to the cast.

I really enjoyed the pantomime and it really has gotten me into the festive spirit. Entertaining, full of catchy songs and some amazing dancing from Flawless, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs really is something for the whole family to enjoy. It's showing at the Mayflower Theatre until the 7th January 2018, so plenty of time to head down if you're interested. I'd 100% recommend it!! You can buy tickets here or by calling the Box Office on 02380711811.

Merry Christmas!!!
