Spa of the World with The Body Shop

This past Thursday, I popped into the The Body Shop in West Quay Shopping Centre with a few other local bloggers – Jess, Rachel, Ami, Alice, Jess and Mandy. We were invited to celebrate the release of The Body Shop’s new range, Spa of the World.

The Spa of the World range is one of The Body Shop’s most luxurious ranges, featuring bath milks, creams, exfoliants, and oils, with fragrances coming from around the world.

We were offered some fizzy fruity drinks on arrival, immediately creating a spa-like feel. Staff were on hand to explain the range and offered to show us what products worked well together and how they worked.

We were allowed to browse the various items, sniffing and trying each one as we pleased. I couldn’t resist smelling each item multiple times every time I passed them. My hands and forearms ended up smothered in various scents, and felt so soft.

As well as being allowed to browse at our leisure, staff were on hand to paint nails and give us complimentary facials and hand massages. I went for a luxurious hand massage, trying the new Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay applied with the Body Mask Brush – OMG, what a revolution that brush is, I could brush it back and forth on my hand all day long it’s that relaxing! I was then treated to the Hawaiian Kukui Cream with a few drops of the Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil. This was the best combination, and left my hand feeling so soft – it’s a combination I’d definitely like to try again. The oil was particularly interesting as it can be used in the hair too, something I would like to try as my ends tend to get quite dry.

When it came to purchases, I struggled to pick something I liked the most. In the end, I went for the Hawaiian Kukui Cream. The kukui oil is praised for its ability to leave skin feeling soft and supple, and as someone who suffers with psoriasis and eczema, a good body moisturiser is essential and I think this is something that will do the trick.

The evening was a lovely opportunity to browse The Body Shop’s products with a lovely group of girls. I look forward to popping back in, where I’m sure I’ll pick up more of the collection – there are so many more items on my to-buy list.

Until next time,
