The New Braiding Handbook

With the festive season well and truly upon us, it's the perfect opportunity to get a little experimental with your hair. And that's where The New Braiding Handbook comes in. I've never been overly skilled when it comes to my hair, but when I came across this little gem of a book in Urban Outfitters, I knew I had to pick it up.
The book was compiled and written by Abby Smith, who I've since discovered on her blog and YouTube channel TwistMePretty. The book is easy to follow, with tutorials that can be replicated relatively easily. There are 60 hairstyles to try, with something for everyone.
Now, like I said, I've never been very good at doing anything creative with my hair. Like, I couldn't do anything. But after reading through a few of these tutorials, I've somehow mastered a French Plait, something I'd never tried before.
Each tutorial has multiple pictures to show you step-by-step how to complete the look. They're so simple to follow, it's great. Abby even shows you how to master the basics, with plenty of definitions, and explanations about terminology you might come across in the book. I definitely think this book will get plenty of use - as long as I keep growing my hair that is.
I hope you've enjoyed this sneaky peak into Abby Smith's The New Braiding Handbook. I'd definitely recommend it!
Until tomorrow,
