Feeling 22

If you haven’t seen my Tweets and Instagrams, today’s my birthday – woo!! I’m never very good at keeping New Year’s Resolutions, but upon turning 22, I thought now would be the best time to make some life changes, as I truly take a step into adulthood. I mean let’s face it, it’s probably time I grew up a bit. And in an attempt to keep these resolutions, I thought I’d share them with you today.
Eat Clean, Train Mean
2016 has been the year that I’ve finally decided to do something about my diet and lifestyle, and tackle all the weight I put one while I was at university. The combination of alcohol and convenience food was not good for my waistline and I figured it was finally time to do something about it. I’ve joined Slimming World, and I’m slowly starting to get into working out. Turning 22 seems like a great time to alter my attitude to food and exercise to a positive one.

Save My Skin
I’ve never been one to stick to a skincare routine, maybe I’m just a bit lazy, or maybe I haven’t found the right products, but I easily fall out of a routine. We all hear about it is skincare in your twenties that is the most important for preventing ageing, and I’m well and truly in that age bracket now. This year I really want to experiment with skincare and hopefully find a set of products that I find really work for me. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Well actually, gone yesterday. I’ve always found it nigh on impossible to find a haircut and colour that I’ve stuck to, but I think it’s about time I found a style I liked. I’m still tweaking one or two things with the colour, but cut wise, I’ve gone for a shoulder length bob, taking Khloe Kardashian and Lucy Hale as my inspiration. I think this will be a style that will be able to stick around for a while.

Read, Read, Read
I had quite a good reading year last year – you can read about that in Monday’s post here – but I’d like to widen my reading material this year. I primarily read romance fiction, but I’d like to branch out into plenty of other fiction and non-fiction as well.

Just Say Yes
I’m not the most adventurous of people, that’s for sure. I think that needs to change. Life is for living and all that. But as well as saying yes to any fab opportunities that may come my way work or blog wise, I also want to say yes to more in my personal life. Yes I will see my friends, yes I will spend time with my family, yes I will take one night a week to pamper myself, yes, yes, yes. I’m thinking a positive outlook to life like this will have a knock on effect for other aspects of my life.

So that’s the attitude I’m taking as I turn 22. A positive attitude should lead to positive results, and I’ve got a good feeling about this year.
Until next time,
