Current Skincare Saviours

We all know that I am not a skincare guru, or anything like that, but recently I have been trying to be kinder to my skin, and dip my toe into the skincare game. Much to my bestie Ashleigh's delight I'm sure - she loves a bit of skincare! I thought I'd share my current products with you, to share what I'm loving.

My first, absolute favourite item is the Exuviance Blemish Treatment Gel*. Unfortunately, at 22, I'm still struggling with acne, and get some beasty blemishes. I used to find them got upsetting, and I'd tried multiple spot creams and washes, but when I tried this gel, I was so happy. I apply this before bed, and by the next morning, I find my spots are smaller. Obviously, it's not a miracle gel, but it certainly helps.

Now, having hit 22 this year, I've started to dip my toe into the world that is anti-ageing skincare - prevention is better than the cure and all that. I've always been a bit concerned about my forehead, so when I saw the Nip & Fab Viper Venom Frown Fix, I thought I'd give it a go. I'm not really sure if it works, or has any benefits, but I feel better for using it. And feeling good is always a plus right?

I've seen serums popping up in people's skincare routines left, right and centre, so naturally I was interested in trying one for myself. I feel like The Body Shop has really upped their skincare game recently, so when I saw the new Drops of Light range had a serum in it, I thought I'd give it a try. The whole range is aimed at brightening your skin, something I am all for, and this serum is intended to combat dark spots, and leave skin plumper with moisture, and looking more luminous. I love this serum, and use it both morning and night - I definitely feel like it makes my skin look healthier, I'd fully recommend.

My eye cream of choice has been a firm favourite for a few years now. It was one of the first high-end purchases I ever made, and I remember feeling really chuffed with myself about it. I was suffering with really dry skin around my eyes at the time (joys of being an eczema and psoriasis sufferer), and after a lot of research, I opted for the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream. This stuff is amazing. The tiniest amount goes a really long way, and it helped clear up the dry skin episode. If you were going to take one recommendation from this post, I'd hope it would be this!

Now facial sprays seem to be the latest must-have product. There are sprays for everything, hydrating mists, sprays with added skincare benefits, everything. I've got two different sprays that I use at different times, depending on what I need my skin needs. The first spray is from Lush, the Tea Tree Toning Water. The skincare benefits of tea tree is well known, especially for spot-prone skin like mine, so when my sister raved about how good this stuff was, I had to get my own bottle. It really is a great product that I pull out when my skin is feeling particularly oily and spotty. My other facial spray of choice is the Tarte Marine Boosting 4-in-1 Mist. This is a multi-tasking product, which we all love, with this mist acting as a primer, makeup setting spray, hydrating mist, and a skin refresher. I really like this for days when my skin is feeling particularly dry, to try and add a little extra moisture.

The last products in my skincare routine are my moisturisers. Again, I alternate these depending on my skin's needs. My everyday moisturiser is the Nip & Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser. This is a skin softening product intended for dryer skin types, which mine can be. I love this for day to day use, and find that it provides a fab base for my makeup. Sometimes, my skin can be really dry, and on those days I reach for my Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturiser. This is part of the Rainforest of the Sea collection, a small tester set I picked up from Sephora, and I'm sure I'll have to pick up the full size soon.

So they are my current skincare saviours - have I given you any recommendations? I'm always looking for new skincare to try, so if you have any suggestions of products for me to try, leave me a comment below.
