If you saw Monday's post, you'll have seen that I attended the grand opening of the Solent University Conference Centre last week. I had a really fun evening, but one of the best bits for me was the opportunity to get all dressed up, and I thought I'd share my outfit for the night with you today.
This is a favourite dress of mine. It's the Binky Felstead Camden dress from her collaboration with Lipsy. Unfortunately, it's no longer available - I'm so glad I picked it up when I did, it's become my go-to dress for an evening out. It makes me feel all grown up, a definite investment piece I've got my money out of. I love the colours in this dress, so try to keep my shoes and bags quite neutral. For the evening, I opted for navy wedge heels from New Look, and my grey clutch from Michael Kors (I've written a post on the bag, which you can read here). I think it worked really well as an outfit.
I kept my makeup pretty simple too, opting for some winged liner, and my newest Charlotte Tilbury lipstick Liv It Up (there's a post on this lipstick coming soon).
Overall, I was really pleased with how this outfit came together. I felt great in it, and it really went with the garden party theme of the event. A huge thank you to Rachel for these photos.
What's your go-to outfit for a fancy evening out?
Love Lexie
