Superdrug Haul

Now I'm definitely a Boots girl at heart, it's always been my drugstore of choice. But sometimes I just get that pull towards a Superdrug, and when I do, I tend to get spendy. Oops. I don't know if it's the different environment, or the slightly different range of brands and products, but I go in once and while and my purse comes out. That's what happened recently, so I thought I'd share what I picked up here today.

The main draw to Superdrug for me was Tanya Burr's makeup and nail polish collections. I had a couple of bits in the old packaging, but I've long since disposed of those because they'd gone off, so I thought I'd get myself some replacements. The weather here in the UK has been glorious recently, and I was really craving summery colours, so it's no surprise that I picked up the nail polish in Bright & Early. This stunning pink coral just screamed summer to me, and I couldn't wait to get it on my nails. I hastily painted with this colour when I got home, and I wasn't too impressed, but I'm hoping that if I take my time with it, it'll work much better.

Once I'd picked a polish, I had a little mooch at the TB Makeup. I loved one of the glosses I had before - the formula was great, the pigmentation was incredible, and the smell was delicious. One thing I wasn't the biggest fan of beforehand was the packaging, but this new packaging is so cute - I had to have one! I chose I Found Nemo - can you see the colour I was drawn to? This is another gorgeous coral pink, and I knew I needed this gloss in my life. I'm a big fan of the coral lip, so it needed to join the collection. Plus, have you seen the name? How cute, and appropriate for a Disney lover like me!

Once I'd had my fill of Tanya Burr (I mean, I had to leave things for next time), I headed over to the L'Oreal counter. I'm having a bit of a L'Oreal moment at the moment (you can read my Lumi Cushion Foundation review here), and I'd seen some bits I wanted to have a look at. The first thing that caught my eye was the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche A L'Huile Nail Polish in Greige Amoureux. I love grey polish, I think it's a colour that looks good all year round, but I didn't own one, so I had to pick this up!

Next up, was the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Max Lipstick in 006 Disturbia. My sister had raved about these for ages, but it'd never been something I was into - I'll be honest, the whole concept confused me slightly. But I saw this stunning colour, and gave it a little swatch and thought I'd give it a go. I'll let you know how I get on.

The one thing I am really excited to have got my hands on is the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Summer Glam Eyeshadow Palette. I've loved the idea of using some brighter shades of eyeshadow, and I had been looking at the offerings from Urban Decay, but I was apprehensive about spending so much money on eyeshadows I might not use. This gives me the best of both worlds - the colours to play around with this summer, without spending too much money. Yay! I'm excited to see what looks I come up with using this palette - let me know if it's something you'd like to see.

So that's all the bits I picked up in Superdrug recently. Maybe I should pop in more often. What have you picked up recently, anything I should look out for?
