Zoeva Cocoa Blends Palette Review

When my best friend Ashleigh gave me my birthday present when we last saw each other, I knew I was in for a treat! I mean, that girl can do no wrong. But when I opened my gift and saw the Zoeva Cocoa Blends palette*, I was thrilled! I've never tried any Zoeva products, but I had heard such good things, and I couldn't wait to get home and have a play.

The Zoeva Cocoa Blends palette is definitely a palette I would have picked up for myself - what can I say, my BFF knows me well?! The packaging instantly made my heart flutter. The metallic finish on the packaging gives it a luxurious feel, and gives you a feel for what incredible eyeshadows you're in for.

I'm sure you know by now, if you've read any of my old posts, that I love a bronze eyeshadow. Anything in that colour range, and I am all over it. However, I am trying to branch into some more colours, with a little push from my sister, and this fits the bill perfectly. With a few of my favourite bronze tones as well as a few different colours, this allows me to play around with some different looks.

Not only is the selection of colours incredible, but the quality of the shadows is amazing too. They are so smooth and blendable, not being powdery at all. Admittedly, there can be a little bit of fall out with the darker shades, but it brushes away nice and easily. Besides, if I know I'm going particularly heavy on the darker shadow, Shadow Shields are always a good idea anyway.

I love all the colours in this palette, but I do have a couple of favourites. It'll probably come as no surprise that one of my favourites is Pure Ganache, a lovely coppery bronze tone - right up my street! Along a similar line is my next favourite Freshly Toasted. This shade is matte and more on the copper side of the colour spectrum, but stunning nonetheless. And my final favourite (which might come as a bit of a surprise) is Warm Notes. This is a gorgeous burgundy colour, similar to a shade in my Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy palette. This is surprisingly a shade I reach for more and more - it looks stunning with blue eyes!

Overall, I'm really impressed with this Zoeva palette and I'm really grateful to Ash for gifting it to me. Have you tried any Zoeva palettes? Any that I should try?
