L'Oreal La Petite Palette

I'm a big fan of eyeshadow - always have been. I love collecting new palettes and having a little play around. I've used L'Oreal makeup for as long as I can remember, and when I spotted these mini palettes, I knew I had to add a couple to my collection. How could I resist?

The Petite Palette collection features five different palettes, with varying colour schemes. The magpie in me was taken in by all five palettes. The colours are all gorgeous and their small size is perfect for throwing into my travel makeup bag. In the end, I decided upon the three palettes that best match the colours I am drawn to, the Nudist palette, the Maximalist palette and the Feminist palette.

The Nudist palette is probably the most me of the three palettes that I picked up. Four of the five shades are of a bronzey nature (my favourites), with one burgundy shade thrown in for a bit of colour fun. These are the sorts of colours that I will pick up on a day to day basis, so I knew that this one would be perfect for me! Their shimmery shades, which I adore, and it's great to have a small palette that has all the lid shades I could ever want.

The Maximalist palette is a more warm-toned palette, with a gorgeous purple and a deep brown. The most eye-catching shade, in my opinion though, is the copper shade in the middle of the palette. I am slowly starting to dip my toe into the copper eyeshadow pool, having a couple of palettes in my collection with this sort of colour scheme. I'm not saying I'm going to be going in heavy handed with this anytime soon, but dusting this lightly through my crease could be great.

The Feminist palette is quite possibly my favourite of the three, albeit totally different to what I typically wear on my eyes. Again, this palette has a purple and a dark brown, which would be great for lining your eyes, but the colour that stole my heart is the forest green in the centre. I received the Jaclyn Hill Dark Magic palette for Christmas (read my review of that palette here), which also features a green colour scheme, and surprisingly I really, really like it. I'm enjoying branching out into something different, and having a gorgeous green shade like this in a handy travel palette like this is perfect.

These palettes feature such beautiful shades, in lightweight mini palettes. Admittedly, the lack of many matte shades is a slight downside, as you don't have much choice for transition and crease shades, but I've got a couple of single matte shades which would work well with these palettes.

Have you tried any of the L'Oreal mini palettes?
