It's no secret that I have a slight book buying problem. I love a good trip to a bookstore and wandering around browsing all the different titles. Recently, I've tripped and fallen into Waterstones and spent a bookish morning with my blogging gal pals in Winchester, so it's no surprise that I may have bought a book... or five!

English National Ballet's Cinderella | Mayflower Theatre
Growing up, I loved ballet and temporarily had dreams of being a ballerina (admittedly, they quickly passed). Spookathon TBR
I very rarely participate in readathons, but one I always follow and want to join is the Spookathon, held by Kayla over at BooksandLala. A spooky readathon in the run up to Halloween? Yes please. This year, especially, I have got a real urge to read all my mysteries and thrillers now that autumn has finally arrived, so I thought this year could be the perfect opportunity to participate in the readathon. Spookathon runs from tomorrow (October 14th) until October 20th, and there are five challenges to complete. While I will not be able to read five different books alongside working, I've compiled a list of three books I'd love to get to this week which meet the criteria!

Motown The Musical | Mayflower Theatre
Growing up, my dad was always playing music, and it's safe to say that he has a very varied music taste. Motown was one of the genres that he liked to play - think Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. So when I saw that the music telling the story of the record label was coming to the Mayflower Theatre Southampton, I knew there was no way I could turn down the opportunity to go and watch the show*.
